Our Story

Kevin Andersen
Founder / Director
Rubbish is never-ending. We take the hassle away from our customers and do so at a superior level of service that earns us customers for life.

Wheelie Bin Services are a locally owned and operated company that has been operating in the Waikato since 1996. From humble beginnings, Wheelie Bin Services was founded by Matamata local Kevin Andersen who came from a farming background and understood some of the waste removal challenges facing farmers. Townies had been dealing with black rubbish bags for years, Kev saw Wheelie Bins as a more convenient solution to solve waste removal problems for both townies and farmers, and with the support of his wife and kids Wheelie Bin Services was born.

At Wheelie Bin Services we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional level of service to our customers. We go the extra mile with a wheelie bin cleaning service. After each collection we internally water blast the bins helping to keep them cleaner and stopping the bins from smelling badly over time. As a family run business, we are flexible, easy to contact, and we have a reputation second to none as the most reliable rubbish collection company in the business. We understand the environmental impact that waste can have on our community, and we help to minimise what is going to landfill by processing all the skip bin waste we collect at our resource recovery centre. We really look after our customers which has been the main driver for our growth and success, as we have organically expanded from the core towns of Matamata and Morrinsville across much of the Eastern Waikato region.

Meet the management team at Wheelie Bin Services.

Kevin is the founder and one of the Directors. At the helm of the operation he is a true driver of the business, not just as a manager but a leader from the ground up. You will literally see Kev in his truck on the road doing the Wheelie Bin runs. With a vast knowledge and experience of the industry, Kev can understand your waste needs and requirements.
Vince is the oldest of the brothers, from growing up with the business, he went on to earn a degree from the University of Otago. After working for a telco in Auckland for several years, a calling for bigger things saw Vince head to the UK. After working as a manager for Belron International for close to a decade, Vince has honed that off-shore knowledge, to bring international experience to the Wheelie Bin Services management team.
Nick has been the Operations Manager for close on to a decade. His passion for the business and providing exceptional service has been integral to Wheelie Bin's success. Whether that is on the front line driving the trucks or behind the scenes coordinating the operations. Nick lives and breathes Wheelie Bin Services and refuses to take holidays, despite us all asking him to take a break!
Alan joined the business in 2008 as a 50/50 shareholder, bringing with him a wealth of mechanical and technical expertise. An engineer by trade, Alan has worked most of his life in the trucking industry so you could say he knows a thing or two about trucks. Primarily responsible for the maintenance of the fleet, Alan has kept the trucks on the road over all the years. Alan thinks outside the box and has brought innovative new ideas that have helped to improve our services.
